Verdi was bred at Stoeterij Musterd and became an approved stallion for both KWPN and Holstein Studbook. At the KWPN performance test Verdi was described as a stallion with a lot of power and predisposition for jumping. With Maykel van der Vleuten he won de stallion competition 2006-2007. Every round of this competition he received a 9 or higher for his power at the jump and his predisposition as a jumping horse. Verdi's father, Quidam de Revel, took part in the Olympics and is the sire of a lot of famous international jumping horses. Great grandfather Landgraf I has also brought a lot of approved sons and international jumping horses. Mother Clarissa is a full sister to the Holsteiner Stallion of the Year, Calato!!
